SFJAZZ
2010
When I came on board SFJAZZ in early 2009, I inherited a website that was functional and presentable on the surface, but a chore to update and maintain due to outdated architecture and a messy mashup of code. I made significant improvements, both developmentally and aesthetically, to the website. However, the ultimate goal was to completely re-build the website.
I was happy to be an integral part of the small team tasked with building the new sfjazz.org. I worked with the SFJAZZ marketing team and an outside agency, Boldium, on the new site from the start. My primary areas of focus on this project were in the site architecture — from selecting a CMS to building the database content structure — and visual design, which included selecting the final design and specifying colors, typography, and styles for the newly designed web presence.
